How To Make More Money In Your Business

Many business owners are so confused and frustrated with their businesses due to not making as much money as they want to be, and know that they could be.

They look around them on social media at all the other business owners who seem to be crushing it with their 6-figure businesses, and they just can’t work out why it’s not happening for them.

They start thinking there must be something wrong with them, but they just can’t figure out what it is, so this leads to even more frustration.

If you’re currently experiencing this, and you know that your business could and should be making far more money than it currently is, then I want you to know that you’re not alone, and that it’s actually pretty easy to make money in your business if you keep it simple and follow these steps.

Sell Things:

How obvious, right? Actually for most business owners, this one really comes as a shock. They’re somehow under the impression that just because they have a nice website, and all the right things in place that they will automatically get clients because they just know that they’re selling something.

Unfortunately this isn’t true. People will take stuff for free as long as you give it to them, so unless you’re actively letting them know that you have something for sale and offer it to them, then they’re not going to buy.

Track Your Finances:

In order to be able to grow your profit and your income as a business owner, then you really have to know what’s coming in and what’s going out.

This is something that a lot of business owners struggle with, especially in the beginning when they’re perhaps not making anything, so it doesn’t feel good to keep track, but it’s so important in the longterm.

Whether or not you have an accountant or someone who takes care of the financial side of your business, it’s still good for you to know what’s happening – especially if you’re looking to make more money, because without knowing where you’re starting from, then it’s pretty impossible to set goals and also know when you’ve hit those goals.

There are lots of great tools out there that can help you track what’s coming into your business, such as this business expense management tool, and even simple payment tools like PayPal and Stripe that can show you what’s coming in each month so you’re always in the know when it comes to your business expenses and finances.

Don’t Do Things Just For Money:

When you do something purely for the money – whether it’s a product you created or a service you offer, the energy around that shows up completely and people can tell you’re not into it. It’s extremely off-putting, so in order to make money, then please ensure you’re actually doing the things you enjoy doing.

Invest In Your Own Business:

If you’ve ever read or watched anything to do with money and the law of attraction, then you obviously understand just how important it is to invest in yourself. If you won’t invest in your own business, or your own development, then you can’t possibly expect others to invest in you.

It never fails to amaze me how many people are out there looking for high-end clients and really struggling, but when asked when they last invested in themselves, they say they can’t afford that right now. What they fail to understand is that the universe is simply reflecting their own behavior back to them, so if they’re acting like the prospect who takes all the freebies, but never buys anything, then that’s exactly what they’re going to attract into their own business.

Be Consistent:

If you’re showing up one day as a business coach, and then the next day you’re a relationship coach, then people are going to be confused – and confused people don’t buy.

There’s nothing wrong with changing direction in your business – even if you do it more than once, but stop trying to be everything to everyone by offering all these different products and services. Focus on building a true tribe of followers who really relate to you and will buy your offers without thinking about it.

As you can see, there are various ways you can make more money in your business, and these don’t always mean you need to do more things, work more hours or start creating more products to sell – it’s simply about working smarter and having the right tools and systems in place that can help you along the way.

We hope this post has been useful, and even if not all of these tips are applicable to your business, that you’re able to find some that will help you.
